New Care has reached the halfway stage of construction of its £15m care home in Lymm, Cheshire and is on track for practical completion in November.
With the main structure and roof trusses in place, the next action is to commence installation of the windows and doors and also the internal mechanics and electricals with build continuing at pace over the next nine months to ensure the home is ready.
The 66-bed care home will feature private ensuite wet rooms and several communal lounges, elegant dining rooms and spa assisted bathrooms, as well as landscaped gardens.
A number of advanced care services including acoustic monitoring and silent call bells have been incorporated into the build and the facility will benefit from a hair salon, nail bar.
A dedicated hospitality team meanwhile will provide high end, hotel-style services that ensure continued quality of life and enjoyment for residents, including fine dining, concierge services and a busy and varied programme of activities and events.
“We are making great progress in Lymm; the structure is in place, the roof trusses are in and in the next week or two, the roof coverings will go on,” said New Care commissioning director Dawn Collett.
“Over the coming months, the development will really take shape with the construction team working closely with our operational team to create an unrivalled care facility in which the highest standards of care can be provided for residents in the heart of a wonderful community where they would like to live,” she added.
