Cheshire-based provider New Care is set to complete its £15m care home in the Adel suburb of Leeds in early April.
External brickwork and roof tiling have been completed at the Adel Manor Care Centre, meaning the building is now watertight, and the team of contractors and tradesmen on site are working on the interior to ensure the development remains on schedule and edges closer to completion.
Each of the 74 bedrooms will feature a private ensuite wet room, while the home itself will offer several communal lounges, dining rooms, spa-assisted bathrooms, a hair salon and nail bar plus landscaped gardens.
The 2.9-acre Adel Manor Care Centre site will also be the location for six bespoke two-bedroom bungalows available for private sale.
“Work on site is progressing well and with just three months to go until practical completion, Adel Manor is really taking shape. The care facility has been expertly designed to offer outstanding care in a stylish environment, and we are already starting to recruit the 100-strong team,” said New Care chief executive Chris McGoff.
“We’re looking forward to introducing our award-winning care services to residents in Adel in spring and are confident Adel Manor will be a much-welcomed addition to the region,” he added.
The care facility will be operated by New Care, part of the McGoff Group, and will be the first care home in Yorkshire for the company.
Last October, McGoff Construction anticipated a 77-week build programme for the development with practical completion in April 2022.
