Avery Healthcare has awarded Horizon Construction the contract to build the former’s £8.4m care home in Braintree, Essex.
Construction works are slated to kick off at the end of this month and are due to complete by the end of September 2023.
The project consists of a 75-bed facility designed by architects Harris Irwin. Project management is being tackled by Holden & Lee, while the mechanical and electrical consultants are Harniss Consulting.
“Building successful working relationships goes to the core of how we approach our services – from the very start of a project to the aftercare once it has completed,” said Horizon Construction managing director Phil Holding.
“As a principal contractor, our entire team prides itself on being judged and recognised for the service it provides,” he added.
Avery Healthcare director of developments Adrian Doyle said: “We are delighted to be working with Horizon for our latest project; their reputation and expertise are the ideal solutions for us.
The Braintree care home will be the group’s first facility built in Essex.
“We are looking forward to commencing works as soon as possible,” added Doyle.
