Holmes Care Group expands expire with £40m Kingdom Homes acquisitions

Holmes Care Group has acquired 12 new care homes from Kingdom Homes, a care provider based in Fife in a deal worth up to £40m.

The acquisition will see the care provider more than double its portfolio – with the 12 Fife-based homes joining a combined family of 22 Scottish care homes, and one England-based home.

The portfolio was sold for £37.5m, with a potential deferred payment of up to £2.5m subject to the future performance of the homes.

Following the acquisition, Holmes Care Group employs almost 1,650 staff and supports approximately 1,150 beds.

“We are delighted that Kingdom Homes have joined the Holmes Care Group family. Kingdom Homes and Holmes Care Group share a commitment to delivering the best standards of care possible, making them a perfect fit for us,” said Holmes Care Group chief executive Sharifa Lakhani (pictured).

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming their wonderful staff to our team. Combined, we will continue to make a real difference to the lives of our residents, their loved ones and the communities we serve,” she added.

Holmes Care Group managing director Alex Wilson said: “We are very excited to welcome these excellent homes, their residents and committed colleagues as we continue our growth as a business. We look forward to learning and sharing best practice as we move forward and continuing a shared track record of impressive care in the community.”
