Ideal Carehomes opens doors to £12m Cadley Hill View

Ideal Carehomes has opened its £12m Cadley Hill View care home in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

The 66-bed facility will be a strong community facility, integrating with the nearby local facilities of shops, churches and schools.

Facilities include fully ensuite bedrooms, spacious communal areas and amenities including a cinema, library, garden room and tea shop, with botanical garden rooms leading onto landscaped gardens.

LNT Construction commenced work on the site in August 2020, taking 59 weeks to complete the project on time.

Cllr Malcolm Gee, the chairman of South Derbyshire District Council who cut the ribbon on Cadley Hill View, said: “It’s astonishing that this site has gone from being a refuge site to this incredibly luxurious care home.

“I was impressed to learn that David (Godrich), the new home manager, started his career 23 years ago in the laundry of a care home and has worked his way up!”
