Anavo, in partnership with Liberty Care Developments, has secured planning permission to build three care homes in West Sussex, Cheshire and Staffordshire.
The home in Lancing has 66 beds, the development in Crewe has 72 beds and the property in Stoke-on-Trent (pictured) also has 72 beds. All will provide specialist residential, nursing and dementia care for people over 65.
The homes will recreate family households, grouping together eight to ten residents with similar interests in each unit.
Anavo’s clinical model aims to promote “independence for residents so their lives will be fulfilled and happy” while remaining connected to their local community, the company said.
“Our care homes will have a high quality environment underpinned by an evidence-based care model to deliver the best possible care for older people. Our aim is to make each home a community hub for our residents,” added Anavo partner Ed Moore.
“We are delighted to have received planning permissions. This means we can start work on sites in the near future, creating partnerships with the local communities and suppliers.”
The homes have been designed in partnership with CSquared Architects for Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent, alongside Anavo’s development partner, Liberty Care Developments.
“The homes are part of our collective mission to develop innovative care homes across the UK which will benefit older people and the local communities,” said Liberty managing director Andy Baddeley.
“Our hard work finding and assessing suitable site opportunities and working with Local Authorities to get a deliverable scheme is not easy and takes some time, but we are all now very excited to see construction underway and the first residents through the doors,” he added.
