Care UK tucks into three-year e-foods contract

e-foods has secured a three-year catering services contract with Care UK to help deliver menus for the provider’s more than 7,000 residents in over 100 care homes.

As part of the contract, Care UK will used e-foods’ CaterCloud menu management platform to support their chefs in delivering nutritionally-balanced and compliant menus while controlling budgets and CPRD (cost per resident per day).

“Our commitment to Care UK is built on a partnership approach, working together as ‘One Team’ that will ensure we deliver a consistent and exceptional service,” said sales director Steve Walker.

“We will monitor products, supply, and pricing to ensure best value for Care UK, protecting their bottom line through our industry expertise,” he added.

Care UK commercial director Jon Bicknell said: “We are delighted to continue to work in partnership with the team at e-foods, not only does this reflect the unwavering commitment and support e-foods demonstrated throughout the pandemic, but it also gives Care UK access to industry leading ordering and nutritional platforms.

“The decision also reflects the commitment Care UK (where possible) has to working with local supply chains after a successful competitive tender exercise, adding to e-f group’s ever-growing portfolio.”
