Oakland Care has celebrated its 10th anniversary with celebrations across its ten homes.
To mark the milestone, each home buried a time capsule which was marked by the planting of a tree or bush and the unveiling of a plaque.
Oakland Care has maintained a ‘Good’ CQC rating at each of its homes, while the provider has also been recognised as an award-winning ‘Gold’ UK Employer of the Year by Investors in People, in recognition of Oakland’s sustained commitment to internal growth and development.
The carbon neutral provider also enjoys its reputation as the ‘greener choice’ of care homes in the UK.
Oakland Care CEO Joanne Balmer BEM said: “It has been fantastic to celebrate a decade of Oakland Care with residents, families, team members, guests and those from our wonderful communities we are proud to be a part of. From the launch of our first care home – Woodland Grove – to the opening of our 10th – Osbern Manor – just a few weeks ago, it has been a remarkable journey and one I have been incredibly proud to be a part of.
“Despite the range of challenges our sector has faced over the last ten years, Oakland Care has continued to grow, thrive, and deliver for our residents and their families. Not only this, but we have also pushed the boundaries of what is possible for social care, whether it be through our sustainability efforts or training pathway programmes.
“This achievement is thanks to the outstanding work of everybody across Oakland Care who have helped make us among the leading care home providers, and we look forward to continuing to grow and support more people in more communities over the coming years.”
