Loveday & Co has held a garden party to celebrate the official opening of Loveday Esher, its latest luxury care residence, nestled in the heart of Surrey.
Over 100 guests – including The Care Home Environment – gathered to mark the occasion, and Councillor Steve Bax, the Mayor of Elmbridge, gave a speech welcoming this important addition to the local community.
Originally built in 1864, the restored Grade II listed property blends historic charm with contemporary luxury. Set within established landscaped gardens, Loveday Esher offers residential, memory, respite, and day club services. Spanning three floors, the residence features 37 suites and amenities including a hydro pool, art studio, library, state-of-the-art gym, salon, and tearoom.
Guests were treated to canapé, including teriyaki chicken prepared on the hibachi grill, alongside champagne, and mocktails including Esher Lemonade crafted from honey harvested from the residence’s very own bee hives.
Chairman Laurence Geller CBE said: “When I couldn’t find the standard of care I wished for my own parents living with Alzheimer’s, I resolved to create it myself. At Loveday, care is not simply a service, it’s a calling. Every detail has been designed to support excellence, meaningful engagement and an elevated quality of life.”
Councillor Steve Bax commented: “Loveday Esher stands as an example of how we can celebrate heritage while delivering outstanding care and creating a true sense of belonging. Members will be incredibly fortunate to call Loveday Esher ‘home’.”
