Care UK’s Llys Herbert care home in Cardiff welcomed guests including the Lord Mayor of Cardiff to celebrate its official opening.
Also joining the celebrations were members of Goldies Cymru and guests from Guide Dogs for the Blind. After being treated to a glass of bubbly, guests enjoyed live entertainment from local harpist Cerys Rees as well as the Corpus Christi High School Choir and a brass band.
To make it an afternoon to remember, the team at Llys Herbert organised a selection of family activities, including cookie decorating and the chance to sample some of the home-cooked meals available at the home.
Llys Herbert is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the home boasts its own cinema, café, and hair salon, and offers plenty of indoors and outdoors space for relaxation and recreation.
Therisa Galazka, home manager at Llys Herbert, said: “Our grand launch party was a huge success and the perfect way to officially open Llys Herbert.
“Our neighbours have been so warm and welcoming, and we loved meeting so many local people during the event – we already feel like part of the community!”
