Devon luxury care home build progressing on schedule

Construction of Claremont Manor, a 71-bed luxury care home in Dawlish, Devon, is progressing well and is on course for a grand opening early next year.

The £13m development – the latest addition to the Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG) portfolio of more than 80 care homes across the UK – is expected to open in early 2024, offering residential, dementia, and nursing care in a luxury setting.

The home will boast en-suite rooms, and landscaped grounds with sensitive planting to encourage bees, butterflies, and other wildlife to visit the gardens.

Features will include a hair and beauty salon, a cinema room, and wellness and leisure suites. The home will also include a Grandchildren’s Room, where families with younger children can meet and enjoy time together.

Sabrina Waterhouse, customer relations manager for Claremont Manor said: “We are entering a really exciting point in the build, where we are starting to see the different spaces forming and identity each room and lounge. We are now able to get a good feel for the generous size of the entire home.

“Every day is revealing a new part of the home and all that it can become! The home has already brought a lot of interest since there is currently nothing like Claremont Manor in the Dawlish community and there is definitely a buzz around the home.”
