Loveday Kensington has been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission on its first inspection.
Located in Kensington Square, London, Loveday Kensington was described as being ‘above and beyond’ by the CQC, receiving top marks in care, efficiencies, leadership, and safety. The 40-suite home opened in the Spring of 2022.
One of Loveday’s three central London locations, Loveday Kensington was commended by CQC at 'providing outstanding person-centred care whilst in a luxury five star environment, which included fine dining and first class hospitality’.
The report highlighted Loveday’s ‘tailored’ care, which results in outcomes ‘consistently better than expected’. The CQC recognised the full range of treatments and therapies available, and how they improve residents’ (known as ‘Members’) lives. Designed with dementia in mind, the application of dementia-design principles to luxury hospitality design at Loveday Kensington was recognised by CQC.
Loveday MD James Cook said: “I am elated at Loveday Kensington’s remarkable achievement in receiving a CQC outstanding rating on its first inspection. It’s exceptionally rare for care homes to achieve this, so it really exemplifies the standards of excellence delivered at every level. This outstanding rating reflects the hard work and passion of our incredible team, who go above and beyond for our Members every day and I am truly appreciative of their unwavering dedication and support. It also motivates us to continue our mission in providing exceptional care and hospitality services to ensure that every day is lived well for every one of our Members.”
Loveday Kensington general manager Louise Blezzard commented: “This outstanding achievement could not have been possible without an outstanding team and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone at Loveday Kensington. I am also grateful to the wider Loveday group for their continued support, training and mentorship which has made this possible."
