With a profound understanding of the challenges faced by families looking for care, Autumna founder Debbie Harris has made it her mission to revolutionise the industry. In 2019 she founded Autumna – a data-rich platform that guides and informs the care seeker
When Debbie Harris launched Autumna, her aim was to help self-funding care seekers make a more informed decision on their later life care choices through a comprehensive directory that was easy to navigate and easy to compare.
“I’d been running a successful bespoke care finding service for individual families for around 15 years,” says Harris, “and it was clear, through the many long and often unproductive phone calls our advisers were having to make to individual care homes, that there had to be a better way.
“We have supported professionals in the sector to find care for their loved one, because even they found it difficult to navigate, so you can imagine what it must have been like for families attempting to do it on their own for the first time.”
