apetito adds some Oomph with strategic partnership

Care home meals provider apetito has partnered with wellbeing specialist Oomph to enable care home teams to access its dietary expertise.

Staff using the Oomph! On Demand digital platform, which is now part of Person Centred Software, can access a range of apetito’s specialist nutrition content. Teams can access content including webinars, activity resources, and videos created by apetito’s in-house dietitians. Menus and serving suggestions include adaptations for residents living with dementia and malnutrition.

The platform also supports physical and emotional health with expert exercise and wellbeing activities, to help residents in care settings live a full life.

Richard Woodward, general manager at apetito Care Homes, said: “To deliver nutritional pathways that are personalised and meet special dietary needs for residents can be complex and challenging.

“Our partnering initiative with Oomph! chimes well with care homes as its On Demand digital wellbeing platform drives value-add into an area which we know is very important to homes. Now they will be able to tap into our dietitians’ specialist expertise, which is extensive.”

Ben Benson-Breen, head of product and delivery at Oomph!, added: “Oomph! takes a whole home approach to wellbeing and so joining forces with apetito as an expert nutrition partner is part of this. Supporting care staff to be able to ensure the enjoyment of mealtimes and make nutritious food accessible for everyone, whatever their care needs, is an important part of our specialist wellbeing activities and exercises.”
