Loveday Abbey Road in St John’s Wood opened its doors in January. The Care Home Environment editor Matt Seex had a pre-opening tour with Loveday & Co managing director James Cook to talk about the new luxury home
It is not every day you find yourself asking a stranger to take photos of you walking across a busy pedestrian crossing, but then not every day do you find yourself at the world-famous Abbey Road, determined to dodge the traffic in order to recreate (as much as one person can) the iconic cover of the Beatles album of the same name
I was at Abbey Road in St John’s Wood to visit brand new luxury care home Loveday Abbey Road, the care provider’s fourth London location, located little more than a stone’s throw from the famous zebra crossing and equally famous recording studio, in order to meet James Cook, Loveday & Co’s managing director, for a tour of Loveday’s impressive new home, followed by what turned out to be a similarly impressive three-course lunch.
I met with James in early December, a month before Loveday Abbey Road was due to open its doors to its members (‘members’ being the term Loveday uses for its customers – more on which below). Loveday Abbey Road will eventually be home to 26 residential members, with the provider allowing up to twelve months to reach full capacit
