Belfast-based age-tech innovator Kraydel has enhanced its TV-based wellbeing platform with movement and room temperature monitoring.
Kraydel has adapted its Konnect device to include wellbeing sensors and at-home monitoring to bring around-the-clock reassurance to users, their families, and their carers.
Konnect comprises a TV-mounted hub with smart camera and is controlled by an easy-to-use five-button remote control. By utilising the most familiar technology in the home, Konnect offers easy video calls and photo sharing while providing 24-hour non-intrusive monitoring.
A radar senses physical activity in the TV room, where typically people spend most of their day. Konnect also includes HomeSights’s EM200 sensor – a small battery-powered device that can be placed in any room in the house, allowing for a range of wellbeing parameters to be monitored. The data collected from these sensors is then reported in the Konnect dashboard for carers and families to view and digest.
Kraydel CEO Amer Fasihi said: “This latest development is part of the wellbeing and support offering for independent living that Kraydel is continuously building. We are delighted to continue our work in offering reassurance to families and carers. Knowing that a loved one is being supported and can stay connected through one device removes the guilt some families feel when they don’t have the time or resources to visit daily. The device allows users to grow old gracefully, remaining independent but with peace of mind that help is on hand and a friendly face is available whenever it is needed.”
