AI-based smart companion Sentai, which assists older people with their day-to-day lives, has integrated with Amazon Alexa.
The tech uses conversation to support those in need while learning and adapting automatically. It keeps the user's loved ones informed and alerted with real-time updates should there be any difference in their regular routine.
Working alongside Amazon Alexa, Sentai offers an easy to use mix of push button and voice interactions, combined with a simple app. The aim of Sentai is to promote independent living while giving family and friends reassurance.
Sentai creator and CEO Philip Marshman said: “It’s such an exciting time for Sentai. We’ve worked hard since we’ve launched to keep growing and it’s been a labour of love for everyone involved. This is the dawn of Sentai 2.0 and we all truly believe in the technology and the power it has to help people. It really is our driving force.
“While the idea was born here in the UK, we want Sentai to help people the world over. The challenges of informal care aren’t unique to the UK, neither is the reality of an ageing population. We know that Sentai has the power to be life-changing for many older people and their families.”
