Care home group Amicura is investing in ground-breaking technology proven to boost operational efficiency, reduce errors, and improve care delivery.
Amicura, part of the Minister Care Group and Fairways Care, is a group of 10 care homes providing high-end residential, dementia, nursing, respite, and palliative care.
The provider’s latest investment will see staff go paperless using Person Centred Software's award-winning Digital Care System. Amicura will now be able to evidence and monitor care interactions in real-time to ensure that the highest levels of care are maintained, as well as saving each carer up to three days per month on paperwork.
Brendan O’Neill, technology development manager at Amicura, said: “Before implementing Person Centred Software's Digital Care System, some of our sites were paper-based or used other digital care planning systems, which weren't always easy for staff to navigate. We needed a care management system that was easy to use, helped us to improve standards, automate processes, and increase resident safety and wellbeing while providing better evidence of care to meet regulations.
"The system has massively improved the safety of new admissions and alerted care workers of our residents' care needs. In addition, the system's icon-based interface is amazing and helps staff document care much faster.”
Jo-Ann Liptrott, care home manager at Amicura’s flagship home Haslingden Hall, added: "It's much easier for carers to record and evidence care with Person Centred Software's handheld devices – even staff who are not as up-to-date with technology find the software easy to use. As a manager, I can click into the system and get a quick overview of what's been happening in the care home; it enables me to ensure our residents are receiving quality care, even when I'm not in the home."
