Dementia sensory products take a Tactile Turn with Relish

Relish, creator of games and activities for people with dementia, has launched a brand-new product, the Tactile Turn, designed with people with mid to late stage dementia.

The Tactile Turn has been created to keep hands busy, to stimulate the senses, and to soothe when somebody is feeling stressed or anxious.

Relish has been creating unique products for people with dementia for 12 years, with each product being researched and made for specific stages and abilities. This latest product is an addition to their range for the later stages of dementia, with the never-ending fidget motion providing comfort with purpose.

Designed to aid cognitive stimulation, Tactile Turn can de-stress with its repetitive motion, and can also be used as a weighty pillow for alternative comfort. The new product is designed to provide the following:

  • A calming activity.
  • Visual engagement, while not being overly stimulating.
  • Keeping hands busy with fidget-motion.
  • Soothing stress and anxiousness.
  • A weighty pillow for alternative use and comfort.
  • Textured feel for increased touch senses.

More information can be found on the Relish website.
