Person Centred Software, providers of the UK’s most widely used digital care and electronic medication systems, has announced the appointment of Andrew Coles as CEO.
With over 15 years of experience working within the health and care sector, including five years as Person Centred Software’s head of global product, Andrew was, says the provider, the ‘standout candidate to oversee the strategy across the business and day-to-day operation’.
Since joining the company, Andrew has overseen a 500 per cent increase - from one million to five million - in daily care records. He also played a key role in implementing GP Connect, which enables clinical staff to view and share data from GP practices between IT systems quickly and efficiently. Within 12 months, the service had connected over 16,000 people and more than 360 care homes to their GP records.
Jonathan Papworth, who will continue his role as a majority shareholder, said: “Andrew is the perfect leader to take the company forward. I believe his extensive knowledge of the sector and business development skills will strengthen and develop Person Centred Software’s presence. We’re confident Andrew’s commitment to social care and ambition will continue pushing the boundaries even further and fulfil the company’s potential.”
Andrew Coles added: “I’m very excited to become CEO. I think the decision to move forward in my career stems from the trust I’ve built with Jonathan over the years. Even before I joined Person Centred Software five years ago, I knew the plan was to one day continue the mission that Jonathan started. Jonathan remains fully on board and is thoroughly invested in enabling me to take the business to the next level. I know I will be able to seek his advice and guidance at any time, and he is fully committed to providing any support I feel I need.”
