To mark its 25th anniversary, care provider Hallmark has buried time capsules at all of its care homes.
Hallmark Care Homes was established in 1997 and has cared for over 10,000 residents over the past 25 years. In order to mark its quarter-century anniversary, the provider decided to bury a time capsule for future generations to discover at every one of its 22 homes.
As part of a series of celebratory events, residents and team members at Hallmark’s residential, dementia, and nursing homes buried capsules containing coins, newspaper cuttings, photos, poems written by residents, letters from relatives, and collaborative work with local schools that reflects Hallmark’s five core values of growth, openness, togetherness, individuality, and quality.
Residents also enjoyed live entertainment and a cake as part of the special events. Each home was joined for the occasion by Hallmark Care Homes’ chairman Avnish Goyal, managing director Aneurin Brown, and Hallmark’s senior leadership team, all of whom made the 800-mile trip to visit all of the company’s 22 homes in a single week.
Aneurin Brown said: “It was lovely to mark our 25th anniversary as a business and see everyone joining in with something that explains the world as we see it right now.
“A special plaque has been installed to mark the point where the time capsule is buried and we hope in 25 years when it is dug up, future generations can discover and learn from it.”
Avnish Goyal added: “I am so thankful and proud of the teams for everything they have achieved over the past 25 years. The road trip was a great opportunity to unite and acknowledge our caring and committed team who go above and beyond daily to ensure that residents have an amazing quality of life.”
