New Care home build underway in Cheshire town

Construction has begun on a new £11m care home in Warrington, Cheshire, operator New Care has announced.

Formerly the site of a pub (now demolished), the new home in Grappenhall, Warrington will, says New Care, be finished in Spring 2023. Foundations have already been laid, and the new building’s metal frame will be installed this April.

When complete, the home will boast 70 beds offering residential, nursing, and dementia care. Prospective residents are promised en suite bedrooms, spa-assisted bathrooms, a nail bar, a hair salon, and fully landscaped gardens.

Dawn Collett, commissioning director at New Care, said: “Work in Grappenhall is going really well, the foundations are in and brickwork has commenced meaning that locals will soon start to see the building appear above the hoarding.  Over the course of the next 12 months the building will really start to take shape and we look forward to welcoming our first residents to their beautiful new home in March 2023.”

Refusing to rest on its laurels, New Care is already hard at work expanding its portfolio. As well as having a second Cheshire home under construction, it has two other homes due to complete this year. All four projects are being managed by New Care’s sister company McGoff Construction.
