New operator Premium Care Group has purchased two Oxfordshire care homes.
Churchfields and Rosebank care homes in, respectively, Cassington and Bampton, Oxfordshire, were previously owned by Dr Gerry and Mrs Jane Roberts. With combined provision for around seventy residents, both Churchfields and Rosebank are rated as ‘outstanding’ by the CQC. The homes were sold through property adviser Christie & Co. after Dr and Mrs Roberts decided to retire.
Discussing the sale, Jane Roberts said: “We are delighted to have successfully and quietly sold both Churchfields and Rosebank as a package to Premium Care Group Ltd. They are taking over two excellent businesses which I am sure will continue to prosper. It has been a pleasure working with the staff over the years and we thank them for their commitment to the business, we will miss them and the residents.”
Robert Adams is a director of Premium Care, which was established at the end of 2021. He commented: “These are two outstanding care homes we are taking over, not just in terms of CQC rating but also the location, quality, and dedication of the staff. Whilst this is our first purchase, our management team has great experience in the care sector, and we are looking forward to building on Gerry and Jane’s successes and continuing their good work.”
Charles Phillips, director of healthcare at Christie & Co, added: “Having sold both care homes to Gerry and Jane initially, we were very pleased to be asked to confidentially market the homes for them once the decision was made to retire. Due to the quality of the homes, a targeted marketing campaign created a very good level of interest, with a sale quickly being agreed at the asking price. It has been a pleasure working with them and also the buyer to achieve this sale.
“Buyer demand is very strong for well-performing homes such as these, especially in sought after areas like Oxfordshire.”
