Digital care management technology provider, Nourish Care, has announced a new integration with the world’s first AI-powered pain assessment tool, PainChek.
PainChek analyses facial micro-expressions indicative of pain in care home residents, particularly those living with dementia or cognitive impairments and unable to reliably communicate their pain.
App-based care planning platform Nourish will now be able to leverage the PainChek technology by surfacing PainChek assessment scores and observations, supporting better decision-making at the point of care, and improving care outcomes.
By introducing PainChek to the Nourish platform, care providers and staff will now have a choice of multiple pain assessment interactions.
Jeremy Baldwin, chief product officer at Nourish Care, said: “We are excited to be partnering with PainChek, which serves a wide range of care providers across the UK with its innovative pain management system. This is now available as an integration within the Nourish platform, opening up a new range of opportunities to improve the quality of person-centred care our customers can provide. We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes for those receiving care and how facial recognition technology brings a new dimension to pain assessments for our customers.”
