Not content with opening almost sixty new care homes in the past twelve years, Care UK has made a start on two more – including a new build in Cardiff.
The Cardiff home, scheduled to open in the summer of 2023, is being constructed by Carter Lauren Construction. It will offer residential, nursing, and specialist dementia care for up to 75 older people, creating over 80 new jobs.
The home will include facilities such as a cinema, café, and hair salon. Landscaped outdoor space will boast sensory gardens and water features.
Care UK’s second project, scheduled for the autumn of 2023, is being realised by S.A.C Construction in Thame, and will provide a home for 68 older people and create 77 new jobs. A salon, cinema, and space for hobby and leisure activities are promised.
Joshua Jones, Care UK’s development project manager, said: “At Care UK we take great pride in the build quality, layout, and design of each individual home, as these factors can greatly impact the everyday experiences of those living in a care environment. Our new care homes will live up to these standards and will provide a quality home for older people from the local communities and beyond.”
