Hallmark Care Homes has conducted a topping out ceremony for its new 80-bed care home in Bath, Somerset.
Midford Manor care home, which is scheduled to open its doors to residents this autumn, is being built on a 1.6-acre site by Hallmark’s sister company Savista Developments at a cost of £16m. The home will provide residential, nursing and dementia care, and will create 100 jobs locally.
For the ceremony to mark the next stage of the build, the site’s construction team were joined by Hallmark chair Avnish Goyal, Wera Hobhouse MP, and the Mayor of Bath Councillor June Player.
When completed, the home will include a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, and therapy room. In addition, 15 suites will each include a fully fitted kitchenette, dining area, lounge, and ensuite bathroom.
Residents will also be able to access a wellness room which will support residents to build up strength and keep fit, a specialist dementia community incorporating the latest technology, and outdoor spaces such as terraces, a roof garden, and garden bar.
