London-based chartered surveyors and commercial property services firm Fleurets has opened a new healthcare division led by former DC Care regional director Alison Willoughby.
Fleurets Healthcare, which launched on 6 December, will initially offer agency services for the buying and selling of care businesses across the UK.
Services includes appraising and marketing care homes, nursing homes and specialist units on behalf of owners, investors, lenders and buyers.
The company will look to expand into healthcare valuations in the future, a spokeswoman said.
Founded in 1820, Fleurets has reputation for providing high quality and professional property services across all areas of the leisure and hospitality sector.
The addition of healthcare provides the business the opportunity to “transfer their extensive knowledge to another aspect of the property industry and in turn makes them a strong contender in the healthcare sector”, it said.
Fleurets Healthcare divisional director and head of healthcare Willoughby was responsible for the north of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland at DC Care, where she oversaw transactions ranging in value from £300,000 for a closed care home to £54m for a specialist group.
“It was following a conversation with someone I trusted that I even considered the move, but it didn’t happen instantly. It was very well thought out, as my next role had to be somewhere that I could see myself for the foreseeable future,” she said.
“I’m hugely excited to be joining Fleurets and getting to know the rest of the team. I particularly look forward to building on the already strong brand that Fleurets have. I’d be delighted to hear from old and new clients and can be contacted on Alison.Willoughby@fleurets.com.”
