New Care has opened its £15m Bridgewater Manor care home in Worsley in the City of Salford.
The facility features 71 fully furnished bedrooms, each with a private ensuite wet room, plus a selection of communal lounges, dining rooms and quiet reading rooms.
It also has a nail bar, hairdresser, landscaped gardens and outdoor terraces to the first floor.
New Care said it has worked “meticulously with architect and clinical team, and closely with the local authority, to deliver a state-of-the-art care facility that will provide outstanding residential, nursing, dementia and respite care services” to Salford residents.
Bridgewater Manor was officially opened by Salford’s ceremonial mayor Cllr. John Mullen (pictured).
“The facility is stunning, but practical, and the attention to detail is impressive. The team is professional, dedicated and passionate and the residents will no doubt enjoy a very high quality of care at Bridgewater Manor,” he said.
Bridgewater Manor is New Care’s ninth care facility in the UK, and the first in Salford.
The care home will create approximately 100 jobs in multiple disciplines, from carers and nurses to hospitality, housekeeping, activities, maintenance and chefs.
