The introduction of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 has caused a lot of controversy among care sector employers and their workers, but what exactly do these regulations mean?
With effect from 11 November, anyone entering a care home will be required to be double vaccinated, and prove they are, before doing so.
This applies to all employees, workers, contractors or other visiting personnel - with the exception of friends and family of the residents of the care home - and will be enforced by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
