The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has appointed Tyson Hepple, currently director general of immigration enforcement at the Home Office, to the new role of executive director of operations.
Hepple (pictured), who will join the CQC’s executive team in early August, has over 30 years of experience at the Home Office in a broad variety of operational roles.
"I am very pleased to welcome Tyson to CQC. We have recently launched an ambitious new strategy and Tyson’s experience will be absolutely invaluable in helping us roll it out,” said CQC chief executive Ian Trenholm.
"The role of executive director of operations is an important addition to our executive team and critical to the implementation of our strategic plans. I look forward to working with Tyson so that we can continue to deliver our purpose in a rapidly changing health and care sector,” he added.
Hepple said: "I am thrilled to be joining the Care Quality Commission at such an important time for both the CQC and the wider health and care sector.
"The launch of CQC’s new strategy is a unique opportunity to drive positive change and enhance the vital work already being done here to improve the quality of health and social care services."
