Fewer than three in five care home staff in London have had a Covid jab according to the latest data from NHS England.
Statistics showed 74.3 per cent of a total 450,294 eligible staff at care homes for older people across England had received their first dose of the vaccine by 7 March but for London that figure was 59.99 per cent.
Lambeth has the lowest vaccination rate in the country with 42.6 per cent of 884 eligible care home staff having received their first jab.
The next lowest is Southwark with 48.8 per cent of 670 staff vaccinated followed by Camden with 50.5 per cent of 380 staff having their first jab.
In comparison, seven local authority areas have vaccinated more than 85 per cent, with the Isles of Scilly inoculating 100 per cent of its 30 care home staff.
The next best is Rutland with 87 per cent and Barnsley at 86.4 per cent.
For residents, the total receiving jabs across England is 93.7 per cent of the 285,583 eligible at care homes for older people.
The NHS England data showed 99.9 per cent of the 10,413 eligible care homes had been visited for first doses.
