Handsale is on track to open a luxury 78-bed Cheshire care home with its own gastro pub and farmers' market in early June.
In addition, Priesty Fields in Congleton will include 78 ensuite bedrooms, cinema, spa, salon, gym, library, private dining room, garden lounge, and GP office.
The physical structure of the building will be tailored to suit the specific needs of people requiring continuous care, with communal areas designed to encourage independence and stimulate the senses.
Positioning itself as an interactive and inviting community hub, Priesty Fields’ holistic approach will take into account peoples’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
Biophilic ‘living walls’ and natural wood, stone and glass features will help to enhance mental wellbeing, while its human-centric interior design aims to provide an authentic and homely atmosphere.
The home will also be sustainable, being built with a heat recovery system and environmentally-friendly lighting for low energy consumption.
Priesty Fields will become the ninth home of the Handsale care group across England, Scotland and Wales.
“We’re delighted to announce Priesty Fields will be opening its doors in early June, offering an outstanding environment that enables staff to provide outstanding care,” said Handsale care director Rishi Sodha.
“Priesty Fields will be a place where people, no matter their age, can maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives amidst a backdrop of innovative and comforting surroundings,” he added.
