everyLIFE joins up with NHS Digital

Information-sharing and interoperability between health and social care has taken a step forward through the implementation of the NHS’s GP Connect Access Record: HTML with everyLIFE’s PASS digital care management system.

NHS GP Connect allows authorised clinical staff to share and view GP practice clinical information and data between IT systems, quickly and efficiently.

“Ensuring that the right information is in the right hands at the right time to deliver safe care and the best possible care outcomes has been at the core of what everyLIFE was set up in 2014 to achieve,” said everyLIFE clinical safety officer Taffy Gatawa (pictured).

“With real time sharing from today of clinically relevant data such as Problems and Issues, Allergies and Adverse Reactions, Acute and Repeat Medication between GPs and authorised social care clinicians, the provision of person-centred care takes a milestone leap forward,” she added.

Michelle McDermott, GP Connect programme manager at NHS Digital, added: “We’re thrilled to be working with the social care suppliers to allow access to the GP Patient record for clinicians working with social care settings. everyLIFE’s enthusiasm for this project has been great to see and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the name of better patient care”.

Newcross Healthcare Solutions head of clinical governance Juliette Millard added: “We are really excited about GP Connect within PASS, it will have a positive impact for our clinicians and how we manage medicines for our service users living in the community.

“It will also enable us to access changing information about the health and wellbeing of the people we support in a timely way, ensuring that we work in true partnership with our medical and healthcare colleagues to achieve the best outcomes possible.”
