HC-One is to open its Mossdale Residence care home in York providing residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 80 residents on 5 January.
The opening to residents of Mossdale Residence will mark the UK’s largest care home operator first care home in the city.
The 4,040 square metres site, developed with Morgan Sindall Later Living and City of York Council, features a dedicated cinema room, bar, hair and beauty salon, hobby and crafts room, and a range of lounge, dining and outdoor terrace spaces.
Mossdale Residence will form the centrepiece of an innovative multi-million-pound Health and Wellbeing campus.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on 15 December to mark the completion with only six attendees due to Covid-19 restrictions.
“We have been working for five years alongside York City council to create a new luxury care home in York, and we are extremely pleased with the effort that has gone into this, especially given the challenges this year has brought due to Covid-19,” said HC-One executive director John Ransford.
