Nellsar Care Group’s head of catering services Adrian Silaghi and nutrition and wellness manager Leni Wood discuss the family-run group’s catering plans over Christmas for its 13 homes across Kent, Surrey and Essex.
They also share the importance of nutrition over the winter months and how to strike the perfect balance of healthy food and the comfort food we all associate with Christmas.
When do you prepare your catering plans for Christmas?
Adrian: We created our Christmas plans back in October, we always try and prepare the menus at least two months before Christmas. All of our 13 homes have the Christmas menus ready to go and will have already made their orders now to ensure all the ingredients arrive on time and are as fresh as can be. We source produce from local bakeries, butchers and fruit and vegetable sellers.
