Meaningful Care Matters opens door to online advent calendar

Care consultancy Meaningful Care Matters has launched an online advent calendar to help caregivers “open a window of possibility” to make a difference each day this month.

Created to help boost morale following an exhausting year spent protecting the vulnerable from the coronavirus pandemic, Meaningful Care Matters’ Gift of Time advent calendar is free for all care providers and individuals to access.

Behind each closed door is a short, simple activity for care receivers, such as setting up a video call with family members, listening and dancing to someone’s favourite song with them, or sharing and reminiscing over meaningful photographs.

“Please join us each day in opening a new window of possibility to change a moment and make a difference,” said Meaningful Care Matters managing director Peter Bewert.

“Sometimes the gift of time is the most precious thing we can give. This might be for someone you support or one of your team members, or it could be for you, as you matter too!,” he added.

Participants are also encouraged to share their daily activities across social channels using the hashtags #MakeCareMeangingful and #GiftofTime.
