Care UK has held topping out ceremonies to mark the end of building work at two care homes – Dashwood Manor and Ancasta Grove - in Hampshire.
At Dashwood Manor in Basingstoke, specialist construction partner Highwood has wrapped up work on a residential, nursing and specialist dementia facility for up to 70 people.
The home includes a cinema, hair salon and café and has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives while promoting independence by incorporating space for hobby and leisure activities.
The layout of the building will be configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
Forty miles away in Sarisbury Green, specialist construction partner Brymor has completed work at Ancasta Grove.
The purpose-built care home – which is expected to welcome the first residents in March – will provide full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 75 older people, with facilities including its own cinema, hair salon and café.
Care UK has opened 44 new homes since 2013 and expects to open around 20 new homes by the end of 2021 in other locations including Quorn, Basingstoke, Haywards Heath and Chichester.
