Hallmark Care Homes has acquired the site of the former Methodist Homes (MHA) St Raphael’s site in Bromley with a view to redevelopment.
Hallmarks plans to turn the site into a new, state-of-the-art new care home with assistance from its sister care home construction company Savista Developments.
The site was sold without planning on an unconditional basis and completed within three months of an offer being submitted.
The sale was advised by Carterwood, who said the speed of the transaction is testament to the “quality of the site and the superb underlying fundamentals of the local care home market”.
“It’s clear that despite the difficult current market conditions, there are still deals to be done for those considering longer-term strategic moves,” added Carterwood director Tom Hartley.
Avnish Goyal (pictured), chairman of Hallmark Care Homes and managing director of Savista Developments, said: “We’re pleased to have concluded the purchase of this site with support from Savista, in which we see great potential to bring an outstanding new care environment to the local community”.
