LNT makes the running for Derby home

LNT Care Developments has filed plans to build a 66-bed care home on the outskirts of Derby.

The Leeds developer lodged documents with Derby City Council for a two-storey scheme around one mile from the village of Littleover.

The Rykneld Road project around three miles from Derby city centre is sited adjacent to a proposed Aldi supermarket at Heatherton Village, a residential housing development.

Plans include single ensuite bedrooms with 16 square metres of space.

The proposed communal areas, including sitting, dining and recreation, are designed to offer 7.8 square metres per residents.

The proposed design allows for a central hub area with lounge and dining facilities that are an easily accessible distance from bedrooms in both wings of accommodation and on each floor.

LNT expects the care home to create 42 full-time and 20 part-time jobs.
