Country Court Care has filed a planning application for a 70-bed care home in Raunds in Northamptonshire.
The Peterborough care provider has asked East Northamptonshire Council to sign off on a development consisting of the care home and a 100-place children’s nursery, contained within two buildings and spread over three main floors.
Ground floor plans for the care comprise entrance lobby and reception area, office space and storage, a medicine store, nurses’ station, extensive areas of day space and a finishing kitchen.
Proposed for the first floor are a medicine store, nurses’ station, extensive areas of day space, a finishing kitchen, large café area and hair & beauty salon.
The second floor would include a medicine store, nurses’ station, extensive areas of day space, a family room, cinema room, the main restaurant area and kitchen, a large staff room, laundry room and plant room.
It is anticipated the development will create some 60 new jobs, including management, nursery and care staff, reception staff, kitchen staff, café staff, cleaners, caretaker, gardener and others.
