Cooking up health benefits with a therapy kitchen

Peter Davies, UK sales manager of accessible kitchen supplier Ropox, outlines the benefits of therapy kitchens for those suffering from neurological conditions.

Rehabilitation is a vital part of the recovery programme for anyone who has suffered a stroke, brain or spinal injury.

Depending on the level of injury and mobility, some people can regain their independence relatively quickly, while for others, it can be a case of learning how to do things from scratch and nowhere is this more challenging than in the kitchen.

Ropox is helping to address this with its range of adjustable kitchen worktops and cupboards that have been designed to make the kitchen as accessible as possible to people with reduced mobility.
