London provider Greensleeves Care is close to completion of its Henley House 66-bed residential and dementia care home in Ipswich.
The home, which taken just over a year to construct by builders LNT, is due to open in September.
Henley House is a replacement for Greensleeves’ existing home, Thornbank, operated by the charity since the 1940s.
Thornbank will be sold once residents have transferred to the new home.
Communal facilities at the new home include cinema, sky bar, tearoom, garden room, several lounges and dining areas.
All bedrooms will offer ensuite facilities, smart TVs, telephone point and wifi.
“Greensleeves Care has always enjoyed an enviable reputation in Ipswich due to the success and popularity of Thornbank,” said chief executive Paul Newman.
“Henley House allows us to double the number of residents we can support in a state-of-the art, purpose-built care setting,” he added.
