Restful Homes has kicked off construction of a £13.5m, 89-bed specialist dementia care home in Cannock.
The Staffordshire Specialist Care Centre will provide individualised care in small communities for residents who suffer from complex dementia and associated behaviours.
The Surrey developer said bedroom suites at the Cannock scheme will be “twice the size of many other purpose-built care homes” and each equipped with bespoke furniture, ensuite wetrooms and kitchenettes.
Communal features include a café, bar, private dining room, hair and nail beauty salon and three cinemas.
The centre has been designed over three floors with level access to gardens on the ground and first floor.
The home also includes a roof garden of over 6000 square feet with lounge area.
Staffordshire Specialist Care Centre is due to open to residents in February 2022.
