Wiltshire provider Coate Water Care has acquired a new property in Devizes named Avebury House.
The home has been bought and refurbished during the Covid-19 crisis and will open shortly to provide nursing and dementia care for up to 47 residents.
“It was not without its challenges during this difficult period but our team has been brilliant to refurbish the home in a matter of weeks,” said Coate Water Care director Geraldine Smith.
“We are delighted to have secured this new property to reopen a much-needed care home in Devizes,” she added.
Coate Water Care was advised by social care sector specialist law firm Royds Withy King.
“The home is in a lovely setting next to the Kennet & Avon canal and with the level of care provided by Coate Water Care, I am confident it will be very attractive to its new residents and their families,” said Royds Withy King partner and head of real estate Paul Daniels.
Specialist agents Christie & Co advised the seller and funding for the purchase was provided by NatWest Bank.
