Sanders Senior Living has won planning permission to build a 77-bed care home in Worcester expected to be open for residents by summer 2021.
Permission to build The Belmont, which is expected to follow a 12-month build schedule, was approved by Worcester City Council.
The Belmont will offer 24-hour residential care for older people, including those living with dementia.
The development will offer a range of private suites set over three floors and will feature a cinema, spa suite, hairdressing salon, cocktail bar, lounges, library, private dining and bistro restaurants.
The Belmont will also feature multilevel sun terraces and balconies, as well as an open-air quadrangle in addition to ground floor suites enjoying direct access to the surrounding gardens.
Sanders Senior Living said the home would match high-spec interiors and facilities of its other properties, appealing to the self-funding market.
“The Belmont will be a highly desirable new place to live. Set in beautiful, manicured gardens and opposite productive allotments for the keen gardener, this splendid new care home will benefit from an array of cafes, art galleries and buildings steeped in history to visit,” the company said in a statement.
The Belmont is Sanders Senior Living’s third care home development. The first is Graysford Hall in Leicester, followed by Claridge Place in Solihull.
