Swish deep cleans nursing home for free

Contract cleaners Swish Clean has completed a decontamination programme free of charge for a nursing home in South Gloucestershire amid the Covid-19 crisis.

The London outfit arranged to send a specialist decontamination team to help the Edgemont View staff and residents in the prevention of any further spread of the virus within the care home in Oldland Common near Bristol.

Swish Clean was inspired to run a complete decontamination clean throughout the property to keep the residents and staff safe after seeing a television news report detailing several Covid-related deaths at the 21-bed property.

“As a business we want to help where we can and this particular care home came to our attention after watching an interview on the TV,” said Swish Clean national service coordinator Mark White.

“The staff seem to be under immense pressure in trying to offer the dedicated level of care to all their residents and we just wanted to help as much as we can to give a helping hand to make the residents and carers daily lives more safe,” he added.

White said Edgemont View staff have been given thorough instructions to maintain cleanliness of the nursing home.

“After any of our cleans we go through the property with the managing staff to show them the best methods and of cleaning showing all the main touch points that need to be continuously cleaned,” he added.

“With the correct chemicals and processes put in place we can help to keep those both working and living in the care home safe moving forward.”
