Orchard Care Homes appoints dementia lead

Orchard Care Homes has appointed Hannah Miller to oversee the company’s strategy for delivering dementia care across the group’s portfolio.

Miller joins Orchard as dementia lead from Four Seasons Health Care, where she worked in dementia and care quality support.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Orchard Care Homes as the dementia lead in the organisation. I hope to inspire and support the amazing teams in our homes to drive forward the care they provide for people living with dementia,” said Miller.

“I am extremely passionate about ensuring we do all we can to see beyond a person’s diagnosis of dementia to understand who each of our residents really are,” she added.

Miller continued: “To find ways to embrace their unique experiences, both past and present, developing genuinely person-centred care which improves their quality of life and brings happiness to each day they spend with us at Orchard.”

Orchard’s properties are sited in the North of England and the Midlands.

Orchard chief executive Hayden Knight added: “This appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing quality dementia care to our residents and supporting our dedicated staff who care for them on a daily basis.

“With Hannah’s experience and expertise, I am confident she will make a valuable contribution to our vision to deliver the quality care that we would all wish for our loved ones.”
