Runwood Homes has completed an eight-bedroom extension as part of an £800,000 refurb of its Leawood Manor facility in Nottingham.
Taking six months from start to finish, the refurb includes new bedrooms with en-suite wet room facilities plus new lounge and dining areas.
The home can now accommodate up to 79 residents to provide person-centred care, with the aid of mobile care monitoring technology.
The extension has been named Fern Avenue, as suggested by late resident Kay Aldridge.
“Leawood Manor is very pleased to accommodate an additional 8 clients in first-rate living standards,” said manager Zimran Alam.
“I’m highly satisfied with the quality and space created, following a smooth build and the result further complements our already beautiful home, enjoyed by our residents and the local community,” he added.
Located in Hilton Crescent, West Bridgford, Leawood Manor provides 24-hour, residential care for older people, including those living with dementia.
The home remains open to new admissions, in line with current Public Health England guidelines, with additional assessment measures in place prior to move-in.
