Adapting spaces for short-term use as health and care facilities

With unprecedented demand on health and care services during the Covid-19 crisis, robust solutions for adapting spaces quickly for high intensity use have become vitally important. Altro EU technical services manager Roger Moore explores how to select floor and wall solutions that are up to the task.

Around the world we are seeing exhibition centres, hotels, churches, schools and even ice rinks being transformed into temporary hospital and care facilities.

Each project is different, but they are common in requiring quick to install, smart solutions that are durable and hygienic and will not leave lasting damage once the space returns to its original use.
