Chartered surveyor firm Edward Cooper Young (ECY) has established a dedicated care team within its practice.
The Loughborough outfit’s new care team is led by Shivam Radia (pictured, on right), who has been with ECY for over 5 years working predominately on care and medical projects.
“This team’s creation is the natural evolution based upon the developments and clients we have worked on and with over the years,” said Radia.
“It will allow us to fully focus on delivering care projects of which we have such a wide and detailed knowledge base. The outturn is our clients will only get a better service,” he added.
Radia will be joined by a team of six surveyors and a client co-ordinator. The team will be strategically managed by senior partner Ashley Cooper (pictured, on left).
“The formation of a dedicated care team within the business forms the next part of our long-term business plan,” said Cooper.
“This enables the practice to provide an even better platform to service our clients – we are very excited about the future of this team and what it can achieve,” he added.
ECY has advised on over 150 care projects and is currently working on 43 schemes both at pre- and post-contract stages for various operators and developers.
In March 2020, ECY received recognition for their work at Tallington Lodge near Stamford in Lincolnshire, which was awarded ‘Best Regeneration Care Home’ at the Pinders Healthcare Awards.
